Juxtapose: Re-vote Rally Quotes

I thought it would be an interesting exercise to compare some quotes and signs from the two sides that rallied yesterday at the Capitol. I took the Seattle Times' article about the rally, and just extracted all the quotes by either side.

First, re-vote (democracy) supporters:
  • "Re-vote, re-vote!"
  • "It's pretty clear to the average person on the street that our election system is broken."
  • "Dino Rossi's not going to give up, and neither are we."
  • "You can give us a revote or you're going to cause us to revolt."
  • "I hate to lose, but if I'm going to lose, I want to lose fairly."
  • "How did [Gregoire] get elected, anyway?" "She didn't, she took the election."
Now, those who favor the Governor-installed:
  • "Don't waste our tax $ on your hurt feelings."
  • "We know this is just a bunch of hooey."
  • "Go back to Eastern Washington!"
  • "Hey, I bet you got a bunch of felons voting on your side, too."
  • "If Rossi wins, we'll all be homeless!"
Which side sounds more rational and reasonable to you? I think the quotes speak for themselves.

I agree with you on the blog with the Seattle Times quotes. I am older than you so I remember this. The Democrates say that Rossi is wrong in wanting a revote, not so. King County is a hot bed of shady people in politics. When you find people that are dead voting, sound like the politics of N Y City, Or Chicago. With Chicago being the crookedist city I now of . What the hell are provisional Ballots? We don't need that crap, If people are to damm lazy to go to their own precent to vote then that is tough. That is what I was told when I first signed up to vote. Also whenever you walk in to vote you have to sign in. Stop letting the damn Democrates from stealing any more elections and go back to the old way of voteing with the old machines, this crap did not go with them. They think that only eastern Wash. people are against this fake Governor we have they are wrong. If the did not count more ballots than people were registered, then she would not be in Olympia. I did not know that I lived in a crooked state run by the Democrates. Lets split the state at the Cascades and let the godd people of the state move to the east side and let the crookes that like to steel the elections stay in the west.

"Go back to Eastern Washington!"

Go back to Eastern Washington. This chant/slogan/bumper-sticker really raises my hackles as I consider it a direct attack upon my civil rights as a voter residing in this state. Such hubris!

So now the residents of the eastern half of this state are no longer expected to have a say in its governance? It's almost as if they regard us east-siders as some kind of an annoying infringement upon THEIR exclusive election.

It's one thing to be considered an afterthought living in the east side. We are used to that. It's another thing to actually be regarded as some kind of an interloper within one's own state.

I am a peaceful man but the first revote protester that parrots this phrase to me will likely provoke a violent response as I consider that statement to be an attempt to revoke my civil right to vote. That's a right that demands a defense.

After all, we eastern Washington residents are supposedly citizens and taxpayers of this state too.

"Go back to Eastern Washington!"

Maybe it's time to form a East Washington and West Washington like East and West Virginia. Split right about where the Snoqualmie valley is would be about right.

I grew up in Eastern WA but now live by the Hood Canal (except for right now since I'm currently deployed.) This TURD RECOUNT is obviously right out of the DEMONcrats playbook, in other words, a criminal scam that mocks representative democracy in OUR state. Lets not talk of division when we ALL need to unite to defeat this usurper in the name of freedom! It's time to put the last nail in the coffin of rampant liberalism (aka criminalism) and I don't care what side of the state your from. I do agree that Eastern WA gets screwed more by the corrupt population centers on the Western side but you also have the same trend in the East. There are a lot of liberals running around Spokane and the Tri-Cities these days. Stand against them too.
