LowLight of the Week: While there were many um... good? candidates this week, in the end Verizon DSL beat them all out to become the first contestant to earn two LowLight awards. What a thrill. With their incredibly lame attempt to somehow tie in DSL service with Commercial Love Day™, Verizon DSL once again sealed their position as the LowLight of the week. Choice quotes from this compelling ad: "If your sweetheart kept you waiting this long, you'd have broken up years ago." and "Isn't it time you dumped dial-up?" Plus nine red hearts. Disgusting.

Comments: Much like this week's LowLight, many of this latest batch of ads were colored pink and red, and littered with hearts. Let's hear it for Commercial Love Day™! Ick. Although no CRAP arrived on Thursday or Friday, there were two of those envelopes full of ad-slips earlier in the week. Those packets really helped to drive up the total weight of CRAP, which jumped by nearly a pound this week. Current complex mathematical projections still predict a total weight of 42 pounds of CRAP.
