The Spiraling Insanity of Nothingness

spiral of INSANITY!Setting a new record in pointlessness, a San Francisco journalist penned a piece for his paper about nothing. Well, technically his article wasn't about nothing; it was about bloggers who write about nothing. And now here I am, a blogger, writing a post about an article about blogs posts about nothing. My head is spinning.

While it seems at the start of the article that the writer has some scathing critique of blogging to present, by the end it becomes apparent that in fact it is this writer who has nothing to say, and has wasted five minutes of your time. Here are some of the astute insights offered in this article:
  • Who cares?
  • After all, 98.7 percent of all personal letters ever written begin with the same apology.
  • Blogs, by contrast, are an act of love.
  • ...bloggers create an intimate relationship with their audience...
Don't you feel more enlightened now? Isn't he just so right? I can feel our intimate relationship just being so... intimate. Actually, it's a little unsettling. I don't think I'm really ready for that kind of a relationship. I think maybe we need to take a break. See other websites for a while.

You understand, right? I knew you would.
