Let's talk about the weather.

You know, it's a good thing we have the weather. If we didn't have the weather, there would be nothing for people to talk about when they just don't know what to talk about. On second thought, my mother taught me that "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." the weather, guhAs you can tell, I've really taken that advice to heart. Wait, weren't we talking about the weather? Of course we were, because I can't think of anything else to talk about.

So anyway, how about that weather, huh? It just keeps on a-changin'. You know what they say about the weather in [LOCALE], "If you don't like the weather, just wait ten minutes," you know what I mean? Heh, sure you do. Ain't it the truth, though.

You want to know the real reason I think people talk about the weather? They talk about the weather because they are too afraid to open their hearts and be vulnerable to another human being. They think that having friends is all about occupying nearby space with someone and engaging in verbal communication solely for the sake of killing the silence.

Wow, that's depressing. No wonder people would rather talk about the weather.
