Radio Musing

I'm having a hard time deciding which of two radio programs is further off the deep end. Allow me to explain my dilemma.

radioOn the one hand we have Coast to Coast AM, which airs locally from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM on KVI (570 AM). You can tune into Coast to Coast AM to hear completely insane people call in to talk about their wild conspiracy theories and delusions, in addition to a plethora of off-the-wall guests that grace the show nightly. Any given night that you choose to tune in will be full to the brim with fascinating conversations involving UFOs, shadow beings, ghosts, secret military projects, and of course the Illuminati.

On the other hand, there is Air America, locally syndicated on KTPK (1090 AM). You can tune into Air America to hear completely insane people call in to talk about their wild conspiracy theories and delusions, in addition to a plethora of off-the-wall guests that grace the show daily. For example, I recently listened to a portion of a program on which a caller greeted the host with the following: "I'm a political prisoner in training, living in one nation under surveillance, (etc...) brought to you by the Bush crime family." The host replied to this comment with a knowing "indeed, indeed."

It's a pretty close call between the two, as to which one requires a greater level of suspension of disbelief. I think I'm going to have to give the edge to Air America though, since it seems that their hosts actually believe the insane things they talk about, whereas George Noory comes across as simply humoring his callers and guests. At any rate, they're both quite entertaining. I highly recommend either of these fine radio programs for a good laugh any time.
