Awesomeness: New Costco!
As we pulled into the glorious new parking lot, the deep black pavement practically glistened in the afternoon sun. As if in a dream, we floated across the flat ebony surface and entered the freshly constructed building. We were welcomed immediately by waiters wielding trays of fine foods such as low-fat frozen yogurt and berry smoothies. But this was only the beginning. Smiling employees with tables full of sample foods were stuffed into every imaginable available space on the floor, and even in some spaces that weren't imaginable. I am certain that we ate the equivalent of three seven course dinners during our two hour quest across the store.
So mesmerizing was the shining concrete floor that it was hard to concentrate on purchasing the goods on our list. We were eventually able to find all the things we came to buy though, as well as a few things we didn't know we needed until Costco told us so. Finally, we took our brand new cart to the brand new registers and paid for our brand new goods. Gliding back across the parking lot to our vehicle, we took special note of how smoothly the unmolested cart glided across the smooth supple asphalt.
To top off the glorious experience, I discovered later that this Costco was built in what appears to be some sort of tax haven, where the sales tax rate is "just" 7.6%, rather than the surrounding area's 8.8%. That's $1.20 savings on every $100 of purchases.
All in all, I would definitely recommend such an experience to anyone. It was totally awesome.
