Skor's Ponderings

I'd like to take an opportunity to dispense some wisdom that I have acquired during my many, many, many minutes on this earth. Consider this nugget of insight:
If you ignore a problem long enough, eventually it will just go away.
This applies to pretty much anything in life. Either the problem will take care of itself, someone else will take care of it for you, or other circumstances will change such that the problem doesn't really matter. In any case, you don't have a problem anymore, and that's what is really important.

Let's look at some examples:ignore your problems
  • Car acting up?
    1. Ignore it.
    2. The car will either start working again or break down entirely, in which case you will get a new car.
    3. Ta-da, no more problem.
  • Running short of cash?
    1. Ignore it.
    2. You'll get more money somehow, or all your stuff will get repossessed to pay your debts.
    3. Either way, low money isn't your problem anymore.
  • Crying baby?
    1. Ignore it.
    2. Eventually it will fall asleep, or someone else will come take care of it.
    3. Once again, no more problem for you.
  • Frustrating project at work?
    1. Ignore it.
    2. The customer might back out, or one of your cow-orkers will get assigned to it, or maybe you'll get fired.
    3. Whichever happens, that frustrating project is not your problem anymore.
See how easy it is? So go on, give it a try. You deserve a problem-free life.

Hmmmm. . .I think that you need to add something to crying baby number 2 another option is that the baby dies and then rots stinking up your house until the neighbors complain and call the police who arrest you for child neglect OR your wife rolls over and continually slaps your face with her arm while pretending that she is still asleep until your face becomes a bloody mess that looks like hamburger. Either one, not something to look forward to.
