Self-Importance For Sale

I was listening to radio a while back, when I heard an advertisement for some sort of product or service in which it was claimed that in exchange for giving them money, you would "learn how to be more important in your own life." Now there's a product everyone can use. Because most people have a real problem in that they are constantly putting the needs of others before their own. It's always "others, others, others" with everyone nowadays. When are we going to stop and realize that sometimes it should be "me, me, me—I want, I want, I want—I need, I need"?

I only wish I had written down the phone number so I could call them up and learn more about this revolutionary new product. I guess I'll just have to try to figure out how to make myself more important in my life on my own.
